Hamilton Downs Youth Camp has various positions vacant
from time to time and always welcomes applications from persons
interested in working in this idyllic location.
HDYC provides a youth
orientated bush camp facility with guest bunkhouse accommodation,
sporting and group activity facilities with extensive bush walks and
orienteering opportunities. Working closely with educators, youth group
and tourism organisations HDYC meets the needs of youth and the general
public as a tranquil bush retreat.
Located just 75 km
from Alice Springs the camp is a heritage listed property with a number
of historic buildings, the original homestead and outbuildings are part
of the asset. Improvements include Managers house, guests bunkhouse
accommodation, toilet - shower blocks, workshop and garage. Solar power
and water supply is maintained by PowerWater.

'GREY NOMADS' Caretaker Program.
Under the management policy adopted by the Camp's
Management committee a rotation of qualified persons are employed,
normally on the basis of a couple, to provide the caretaker and
administrative duties required to maintain the highest standard of
facilities for guests.
