One of the highlights of bushwalking from Hamilton Downs, is the seven-hour, round trek to and from the homestead, up along  part of stage 3 of the world-famous Larapinta Trail, returning via the spiritually significant Fish Hole.

This trek can be self-guided, or in the company of the Camp’s caretaker, who will be able to provide their experience and knowledge of the area to assist you in an enjoyable outing.

Two other shorter and less-demanding walks have been marked out (complete with laminated notes).

Besides those three walks, there are many opportunities for free, safe and unaccompanied walks for the visitors to Hamilton Downs Youth Camp.

New walks are being developed for visitors.
