Directions:

Travel north on the Stuart Highway approx 20km to the Tanami Road turnoff. Turn left and continue for approx 30 km to the Hamilton Downs Youth Camp turnoff.

Turn left and continue for approx 25km.

 

Road Conditions:

Stuart Highway is fully sealed. Two lanes.

Tanami road is sealed to the turnoff. Narrow single lane with overtaking areas.

Hamilton Downs Youth Camp road is unsealed but in normal conditions is trafficable by most vehicles. It is advisable to call the caretaker prior to departure to check the road conditions. There are creek crossings that may be unpassable with heavy rain.
